FALL 2018 SEMESTER
The stories from our ancient tradition can be challenging to modern-day sensibilities, yet Jews are committed to their retelling. In this class, we will explore some of our most controversial tales through multiple lenses, both ancient and modern. Incorporating rabbinic, feminist and psychological approaches, we will explore new ways to interpret, understand and integrate these texts to form personal connections to them that can inform our artistic expression.
