Welcome to lifelong learning.

The visual and spoken testimony of human rights activists and photojournalists have the power to transport us back in time and across the world, enriching our knowledge and understanding of other countries, cultures, and individuals at any given moment. These activists put themselves in harm’s way to capture experiences of conflict on the human level. With a mandate to alert the national conscience to genocide and crimes against humanity, the Museum relies on documentation collected by these very individuals to record the stories of destruction and devastation and to provide essential evidence of war crimes.
