EHUD BARAK: Israel’s 10th Prime Minister
- Prime Minister Barak will deliver remarks during services
A moderated conversation will follow services
An extended Oneg Shabbat with live music will complete our evening
The first Israeli leader to propose a two-state solution, Ehud Barak is a Renaissance man: a classically trained pianist turned commando who snuck into Lebanon on an assassination run dressed as a woman; a Stanford University graduate who became Israel’s most decorated soldier, Minister of Defense, Minister of Foreign Affairs, Minister of Internal Affairs, and Chief of the IDF General Staff. His remarks during and after services will focus on his new memoir, My Country, My Life, about Israel’s successes, setbacks and miscalculations—and his fears and hopes for its future.
Copies of My Country, My Life are available for pre-purchase via the ticket options. Copies of the book are not for sale on the evening of the Oneg.
This program is generously sponsored by The Tisch Family.
Upcoming Friday Night Live: A Chanukah Extravaganza with Peter Yarrow: Friday, December 7th, 6:00 PM. Tickets available here.
