Welcome to a new series that gives you a chance to study with rabbis who’ll be teaching outside their home communities. To inaugurate our pop-up class experience, we welcome David Wolpe, the most influential rabbi in America according to Newsweek—and one of the 50 most influential Jews in the world according to the Jerusalem Post. Having taught at the Jewish Theological Seminary, the American Jewish University, Hunter College and UCLA, Rabbi Wolpe is now the Max Webb Senior Rabbi of Sinai Temple in Los Angeles. You likely know his name from the New York Times, the Huffington Post, the Today show, Face the Nation and countless other media outlets—or from any of his eight books.
LESSONS ON LUST AND LOVE FROM THE BIBLE: TORAH AS A DATING AND RELATIONSHIP MANUAL
By examining the lives of Jacob, Ruth, David and other biblical characters, we learn ancient relationship lessons that apply amazingly well to the confusions of the 21st century. Although these biblical heroes lived through the extraordinary, they also dealt with the profoundly ordinary, universal human experiences of love and lust, affairs and broken hearts. Through these stories, we’ll discover what the Torah has to teach us about navigating relationships—both good and bad.
