Welcome to lifelong learning.

Orchestra of St. Luke’s

After the resounding success of last season’s concerts, St. Luke’s Chamber Ensemble is coming back to Temple Emanu-El. Don’t miss the return of these world-renowned musicians who’ll fill our historic sanctuary with rapturous sounds.

The program features several of Bach’s beloved Brandenburg Concertos, which were a gift presented to the Margrave of Brandenburg in 1721 and stand as a testament to the composer’s inventive genius. Written in the Italian Concerto Grosso style, they’re considered pinnacles of the Baroque repertoire, and the performance will feature several of the orchestra’s virtuosic members as soloists.

J. S. Bach   Brandenburg Concerto No. 4 in G major, BWV 1049

J. S. Bach   Brandenburg Concerto No. 3 in G major, BWV 1048

J. S. Bach   Brandenburg Concerto No. 5 in D major, BWV 1050

J. S. Bach   Brandenburg Concerto No. 2 in F major, BWV 1047

Made possible by the generous support of Temple Emanu-El members Robert B. Menschel and Richard Menschel.
