The Afterlife: A Jewish Perspective

Past-life regression. Reincarnation. Near-death experiences.

What does Judaism have to say about them? Or about an afterlife in general? Plenty, naturally—and much of it will surprise you.

Joining us to shed light on the topic are two experts. Brian L. Weiss, MD, is the author of the internationally bestselling Many Lives, Many Masters, among other books. Dr. Weiss is also Chairman Emeritus of Psychiatry at the Mount Sinai Medical Center in Miami and a world- renowned leader of seminars and workshops.

Rabbi Elie Kaplan Spitz is the author of Does the Soul Survive: A Jewish Journey to Belief in Afterlife, Past Lives & Living with Purpose, among other books. He is also a pulpit rabbi at Congregation B’nai Israel in Tustin, CA, and Global Justice Fellow for the American Jewish World Service.

Although they address the afterlife from different perspectives—one medical and one rabbinic—both started out skeptics and, through years of research, emerged believers.
