What does it mean to be a religious human being, and what does Judaism teach us about it? Understanding how to open the human heart to God is not always easy. Green’s book centers on the history of Hasidism and his personal approach to modern-day Jewish spirituality. By bringing them together, he asserts that they are connectedthrough history, text, language, symbols and voices throughout time.
Arthur Green is Professor of Jewish Philosophy and Religion and Rector of the Rabbinical
School at Hebrew College. Recognized as one of the world’s preeminent authorities on Jewish thought and spirituality, he is also a prolific author.
